Who we are
Video Sales Academy (videosalesacademy.com) is run by Dave Espino. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Video Sales Academy. If you have a question about your information, email dave@daveespino.com.
What we collect, and why
When you sign up for the free training. Our sign-up forms ask for your first name and email address. We use them to send you the free video training and our emails about using YouTube and email to grow a business, including occasional offers for our own products. Our email provider also records technical details of the sign-up, such as the date and time, the page you signed up on, and your IP address. This shows when and how you joined the list.
When you just read the site. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical information when your browser requests a page. That includes your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. If analytics is switched on (see below), Google Analytics also collects information about how the site is used.
We don't ask for payment details on this site, and we don't knowingly collect sensitive information.
Email sign-ups (AWeber)
Our email list is hosted by AWeber, an email marketing service. When you submit a form, your name and email address go straight to AWeber and are stored there under AWeber's own privacy policy.
- Double opt-in. After you sign up, AWeber sends you a confirmation email. You're only added to the list once you click the link in that email. If you don't confirm, you won't get our emails.
- Form views. Our pages load a small AWeber image that counts how many times a sign-up form is displayed. It doesn't identify you.
- Unsubscribing. Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you'll stop getting emails from the list right away. You can also email dave@daveespino.com and ask us to remove you.
Analytics and cookies (Google Analytics 4)
We may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand which pages are useful, for example how many people visit, which pages they read, and roughly where visitors come from (country or city level). GA4 uses first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) to tell one visit from another. They typically last up to two years. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.
- We ask Google not to use this data for advertising, and we don't send Google your name or email address.
- In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, analytics cookies are turned off by default.
- You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Apart from analytics, the site doesn't set its own tracking cookies, and it doesn't use advertising or retargeting pixels.
Hosting (Vercel)
The site is hosted by Vercel. To deliver pages and keep the site secure, Vercel processes the technical request information described above, such as your IP address and browser details, in its server logs. Vercel keeps these logs for a limited time under its own privacy policy. We use them only to run, troubleshoot and protect the site.
Links to other sites, including ytsnowball.com
Our pages link to other websites. Some links go to ytsnowball.com, where Dave's paid YouTube Sales Machine program is offered. That site, and any other site we link to, has its own privacy practices, and this policy doesn't cover them. Please read their policies before you share information there.
We don't sell your information
We don't sell, rent or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the site and the email list (such as AWeber, Google and Vercel), and only so they can do that work. We'll also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
You stay on the email list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you. Technical logs and analytics data are kept for the periods set by the providers above.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe at any time. You can also email dave@daveespino.com to ask what information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted. Depending on where you live, for example in California, the EU or the UK, you may have extra rights under local law. We'll respond to requests within the time that law requires.
Children
This site is meant for adults running a business. It isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has signed up, email dave@daveespino.com and we'll delete their information.
Security
We rely on established providers and keep access to subscriber data limited. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, though, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date at the top.
